Things are hotting up in the "Remote Competition" section of our website. www.moto-gym.com/competition/remote-competition/After Stanley recorded our best first efforts, last Saturday and put it on-line. We have a response from no less than the UK champion!!! He will have a go at the same course, record it and put up his best time. Looks like we might have to up our game and put in some practice on this one and make sure the crown stays Stateside

Thanks Jerry! I was out there for about an hour today. I think I can get well below that. Sorted out the problem of my right turns (It's all in how you hold the throttle so you don't elbow yourself). Also I lost a half second using the entrance gate instead of the exit gate in the video.
How you enter into the inner circle affects how your exit is. The ideal line is not to try to take the widest inner circle to carry corner speed. You're not going fast enough where corner speed matters. I may be wrong, but I tried both track-style corner speed and gymkhana max lock. Max lock felt the fastest.
If you aim for the outside cone and use max lock your exit will be squared off at the gate. I see everyone has this problem cause we are so used to GP8, but adding a 90ish degree turn on exiting adds time.
If you aim for the outside cone and go for corner the widest radius your time goes down.
If you aim to make the center cone an apex with maximum lock you'll run over a gate cone.
If you aim to make the center cone an apex with corner speed your turn won't be tight enough to stay in the circle.
So the solution I came up with today was to go on a sweet spot between the center cone and outside cone so that your maximum lock will allow to you to quickly exit in a circular manner towards the turnaround cone.
I feel this course really tests how comfortable you are with your bike while leaned over at high (for gymkhana anyway) speeds. Cause most of the course should be taken leaned over. The only time you should be straight up is under braking. I still have a 0.25 inch strip of unused rubber on my front and rear so I could definitely use more brakes which means I could be spending less time outside the inner gate.

Well if that's five laps in 59 seconds, we've got a lot of work to do to keep up, once you post your proper four laps. Love to see those numbers go down!

Wow that was quick. You were around 44s on my count. The finish of the course is also just a straight shot from exiting the inner circle to the exit gate. You could probably do less than 40s I think.

And here is also a Vietnam rider at around 42-43 seconds, love those quick turns around central cone and the turnaround cone. Very impressive. youtu.be/ud9YI_Hw_qM

Thanks Jezza,
I've started MG April 2013, but I've always been riding my BMX out on the streets. There are quite some similarities between those 2.
The bike is a customized '04 Honda CBR1000RR, it has lost some weight and I like the Streetfighter look. Beste changes were the SBK superbike handle kit, and the sprocket conversion form 16-42 -> 14-52 (520 chain)

eek: after you posted time on the Hitch and your 29 second GP8, I wholeheartedly approve of your avatar Can you visit our Tips and tricks section and post a few pointers maybe? Very impressive times, and it would be great to get some feedback from you as well.
